Langley – Part-time (maximum 8 hours/week) Speech Language Pathologist by training and Communication Coach by nature!

We’re looking for just the right person to join our team as Communication Coach for CONNECT Langley. As Communication Coach you will be responsible for delivering speech language pathology services as you live the CONNECT promise every day — Making Lives Better. You will be part of a team of dedicated individuals that supports our transitional and residential residents to find A Better Way After Brain Injury.

You will report directly to our Site Leader in Langley, and will have an opportunity to play a key role in mirroring CONNECT’s services by working with your Communication Coach counterpart at CONNECT Lake Country.

The check list:

  • A Speech Language Pathologist registered (or eligible for registration) with the BCASLPA;
  • A self-starter and relationship builder;
  • Comfortable working in the ‘grey’. Able to imagine a world without boxes and seek out or create opportunities;
  • Open, honest and authentic communicator;
  • Works well with others;
  • Flexible and able to “dance” in the moment;
  • People and community focused; and
  • Willing to contribute to the development of services at CONNECT Langley based on your own unique strengths and interests.

What the role looks like:
As a member of an integrated, multi-professional Coaching Resource Team you will partner with our residents helping them as they redesign their lives after brain injury. You will shape the development and delivery of Speech Language services in keeping with the culture of CONNECT, building capacity amongst our team to work together to meet the goals of the individual, the shared goals of the team, and support CONNECT’s vision to transform the way in which people living with brain injury are served in our communities.
