In Loving Memory of Our Friend Alan Holmans
Alan Holmans joined the CONNECT Langley family 9 years ago. He was the first person to move into Jan's House. In many ways he became the master of this home. Alan died peaceful with his family by his side on March 10th, 2012.
Alan was an outdoorsy kind of guy and happiest when he was by the lake or in the woods. We spent many afternoons with him at Derby Reach fishing and watching people. Alan was a gentle man and a happy guy who loved a good joke. His smile could light up any room. Prior to his injury, Alan spent much of his time in nature and his friends often referred to him as a bushman. What a neat man he was. It was truly an honour to be a part of his and his family's lives for the past 9 years.
A sincere thanks to his family for the lovely flowering plants given to Alan's caregivers. These gifts have been planted to create "Alan's Garden" at Jan's House. With some love and a green thumb, this garden will keep Alan's memory alive. His memory will live with us forever. We miss Alan, his smiles and all the high fiving.
Gone, but never forgotten.
