We are proud to introduce the friendly face of our Leader of CONNECT Hamilton, Jamie Curran.
“Jamie is one hundred per cent a values-based leader and truly appreciates the importance of building strong partnerships,” says Patti Flaherty, CONNECT President and COO. “This aligns so well with CONNECT and what we are doing here in Ontario. We are delighted he is joining our CONNECT family to lead our Hamilton location as we open our doors and build our team here in Hamilton.”
She says Jamie is a natural relationship builder, which will benefit all of CONNECT in BC and Ontario and help spread the word about the Life Redesign ModelTM to the broader community.
Jamie starts in April as CONNECT gears up for a Spring/Summer opening in Hamilton.
“I am so excited to be able to start something from the ground up in Hamilton that will be really great for the province of Ontario, not just Hamilton,” he says.
Jamie comes from a job he loves as Manager of Outcome Support at Community Living Mississauga, but says his transition to CONNECT represents a similar values approach.
“What drew me to CONNECT was the values and culture,” he says. “I look forward to building a team that shares those values and the willingness to embrace a different way of supporting people after brain injury – but a way that just makes so much sense.”
John Sherwood, CONNECT CEO, says personally and professionally, Jamie is an authentic community builder.
“He understands the importance of a collaborative coaching approach to bring out the best in people,” says John. “As a long-time contributor to the Interdependence Network, Jamie has a deep understanding of the importance of social capital and community connection in successful life redesign, both in theory and in practice.”
When he’s not working, Jamie likes to spend time with his family, preferably outdoors, and is a proud hockey dad and coach for his nine- and 11-year-old sons
