Join our team to make a difference to people living with acquired brain injury and stroke!

As a Life Redesign Coach, you will work in partnership with the individuals who live at CONNECT. You will work in a house with up to seven residents, who are redesigning their lives after brain injury or stroke. Using coaching methods, you will help residents set and achieve goals based on what is most meaningful to them. A typical day can include helping residents with: Getting ready for the day, completing exercise programs, personal care, getting out into the community, participating in recreation and leisure interests, meal preparation, and, most importantly, helping them reach their individual Life Redesign goals.

CONNECT’s mission is to Make Lives Better. We achieve this by providing complex and specialized services for people living with brain injury and stroke in a nurturing and innovative community environment. CONNECT’s Life Redesign Model is deemed Leading Practice by Accreditation Canada.

Becoming a Life Redesign Coach does not require you to have a care aide background. CONNECT will provide you with an orientation and training on the job. We hire based on fit, not qualifications.

The Life Redesign Model includes:
• A culture of personal accountability, supported risk taking, social capital and meaningful community participation;
• Services planned around what the person wants more of in life. Participation in relevant life situations drives the residents’ goals;
• Service plans leveraging neuroplasticity by pursuing resident goals in real-life, non-institutional settings;
• A “doing-with” coaching approach with blended job roles and a multi-professional coaching team;
• Hire for fit based on personality and values, not qualifications.

Our values are: Respect, Flexibility, Creativity, Learning, Passion and Joy. If these values resonate with you, and if you’re interested in a fun and rewarding career, we would love to hear from you!
